Red Pepper And Green Onion Butter

I had read about topping steaks with butter, but the idea didn't thrill me. But top a steak with a compound butter and now you're talking. I ripped off this recipe from a food magazine and for that I apologize. As usual, I present the recipes here to jog my addled mind, which often forgets crucial details like my own phone number.

This butter is silly easy to put together and adds wonderful flavor to steaks. I think you'll like it.

Red Pepper And Green Onion Butter

Ingredients
1-2 tablespoons of room-temperature, unsalted butter per portion
crushed red pepper
finely chopped green onion

Directions
1. Sprinkle green onion and crushed red pepper into butter, mix with a fork and chill in refrigerator.

Notes
There just isn't a lot to add. It's simple; it's good.
